"Zero Smoke is a rising act to follow in the lofi/deep house scene. He's set out on a mission to combine ethereal soundscapes with lush grooves. His latest release consists of two tracks both going over 6 minutes. The opening track, Earnestly Yours, seeks to instantly set the tone by getting the house jumping with a pulsing kick and mesmerizing chopped vocals. Percussive drums are steadily added onto the track as it progresses into a driving house anthem. Warm synths carry the track forward aided by resonant arpeggios and even a bit of marimba. All creating a rich, dynamic soundscape that is simultaneously mellow and energizing. The closing track, I'm Stuck On Repeat Because Of You, immediately begins with a hazy chord progression. Complemented with a beat that blends elements from a lofi house and hip hop aesthetic. An edgy bassline coupled with an emotional lead makes for a more chilled yet deceptively powerful sonic experience."
